LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials on Thursday held a meeting to discuss the matter of contracted players’ participation in T20 leagues around the world.
According to sources, the officials reviewed different proposals on the matter including restricting PCB-contracted players to participate in more than two leagues in a year.
If new rules are formally applied, the players can only play two leagues per year, including the Pakistan Super League (PSL), reports said.
It was agreed in the meeting, which was chaired by the PCB Chairman Najam Sethi, that domestic cricket structure will remain unchanged. However, an increment in fees for regional players was approved.
The decision regarding formal approval of the recommendations will be taken by the PCB in the next few days.
