ISLAMABAD: Accountability court on Tuesday resumed case proceedings of Avenfield properties reference case against former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and family.
Sharif along with daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar appeared before the court.
Previously, Nawaz and Maryam had been granted exemption from case proceedings owing to bad weather.
Maryam’s defence counsel Amjad Pervez resumed cross-examination of key witness and head of Panama Papers Joint Investigation Team (JIT), Wajid Zia.
The case proceedings are underway.
Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif along with daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar were charged in Avenfield properties reference case (London) in September last year.
Sharif was disqualified following the Panama Papers case verdict by the Supreme Court last year. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed supplementary reference cases against Nawaz Sharif and his family.
